Retreats at Ātmāyu Yoga

At Ātmāyu Yoga, we see a retreat not just as a holiday but as a journey inward – a sacred pause from the noise of everyday life. Rooted in the timeless philosophy of yoga, our retreats are woven with the intention of helping you reconnect with yourself, with community, and with nature.

Every retreat is crafted to embody the essence of yoga: union – of body and breath, effort and ease, self and surroundings. Through daily practices of asana, pranayama, meditation, and mindful living, we create a space where stillness meets joy, and growth unfolds naturally.

But our retreats are not only about what happens on the mat. They are about:

               •             Living yoga off the mat – in the way we eat, share, rest, and interact.

               •             Community and connection – practicing together, learning from one another, and holding space for collective growth.

               •             Immersion in nature and culture – grounding ourselves in the rhythms of the earth, while exploring the heritage and spirit of the places we gather.

At the heart of every Ātmāyu retreat is a simple truth: When we return to ourselves, we return to wholeness.

Yashika

Yoga Teacher & Founder, Ātmāyu Yoga

Born in Bengaluru in a Dhārmik household, Yoga entered her life naturally through Bhakti and later through the formal practice of Yogāsana. Her path led her to Mysuru in 2006 for higher studies, where she pursued a Bachelor’s in Psychology and later a Master’s in Forensic Science. Alongside her academic journey, she worked as a Forensic Expert, Psychologist, Actor, and Model - experiences that exposed her to the stark contrasts of life, from crime investigations to the glamour industry. These contrasts awakened deeper existential questions that eventually revealed her true calling - Yoga.

Since over 10 years, her practice has been rooted in devotion. She has immersed herself in intensive study and trained in Haṭha Yoga, Aṣṭāṅga Vinyāsa, Yin Yoga, Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga, Sound Therapy, and completed YIC at S-VYASA. She also had the rare privilege of learning directly from Guruji BNS Iyengar, a direct disciple of T Krishnamacharya, deepening her knowledge in Prāṇāyāma, Mudrā, Indian Philosophy, and traditional Aṣṭāṅga.

With over 7 years of teaching, she guides students with a spiritual and holistic approach — disciplined yet accessible to all. In 2020, she returned to Mysuru as a new mother and later founded Ātmāyu Yoga, a space for courses, retreats, and workshops designed to inspire seekers to connect with their eternal self.

Manoj

Yoga Teacher & Co-Founder, Eka Yoga

Manoj’s journey with Yoga began at the age of 12, when he started practicing āsana as part of competitive sports. What began as physical training soon unfolded into a deeper realization- that Yoga is far beyond postures; it is a way of life.

Rooted in Mysuru, the cradle of Yoga, Manoj later moved to Bengaluru to pursue his Bachelor’s in Yoga at SVYASA University, where his practice deepened and his teaching journey began. Over the past 5+ years, he has been guiding students in both Ashtanga and Hatha Yoga, blending tradition with mindful living.

Manoj’s own life is a testament to the transformative power of Yoga. For more than a decade, he has lived a medicine-free, hospital-free lifestyle, drawing strength, health, and clarity from his practice. This personal experience fuels his passion to share Yoga as a holistic path to well-being- not just on the mat, but in everyday life.

Today, as the co-founder of Eka Yoga Studio in Vietnam, Manoj continues to inspire students across cultures. His teaching is not only about physical postures but also about cultivating balance, resilience, and mindful living. With every class, he hopes to empower students to grow, heal, and live healthier, more conscious lives.

Lara

Yoga Teacher & Reiki Healer

Lara’s Yoga journey began in Australia, during a deeply transformative chapter of her life following an invasive surgery. What initially drew her to the mat was the need to heal physically — but what she discovered was far more profound. Through dedicated practice, Lara found that life’s challenges became more navigable, less overwhelming. Yoga became more than just a physical discipline; it evolved into a way of living; one grounded in awareness, self-compassion, and connection.

Over the past 12 years, her practice has continued to deepen, leading her to the birthplace of yoga, Mysore, India where she completed her teacher training.

Immersed in the roots of the tradition, she developed a deep respect for the practice not just as movement, but as a tool for returning to the self.

For the past 7 years, Lara has shared her teachings in Istanbul and Monaco, offering classes that invite students to reconnect with themselves. Her approach is centered on self-inquiry, self-love, and presence, helping others feel at home in their own bodies and hearts. She believes yoga is not about becoming someone new, but remembering who you already are.
